COMPLETED!!! We just finished this Type 6 Brush truck for the Sonoma County Fire Department in California. Special thanks goes to Chief Mark Aston and Assistant Chief Wesley Kitchel for working with us on the project. This trucks features a Ford F550 4×4 4 door chassis with a two tone finish. The aluminum treadplate body is stout but lightweight and the ROM rollup doors will allow the firefighters to access the compartments without infringing on some of the narrow roadways in the area. The Hale diesel pump is powered by a Kubota 24 HP motor and features a rear discharge, crosslay, booster line, front discharge, and foam system. The 400 gallon poly water tank built by UPF has a 12 gallon foam cell and has a lifetime warranty. The unique storage above the body for a stokes basket, scba bottle storage in the fender wells and a hard suction hose storage compartment between the frame rails makes the best economy of body. The brush truck also features Ranch Hand front bumper, aluminum wheels, and a complete Whelen LED light package including LED pole lights and a remote control spotlight.
